Create a Discussion in a Forum

Location: Account Manager/Website Design Mode/Page the Forum is hosted on -> New Discussion button

Overview: After you create a forum and place it on a page, the admin will need to create at least one discussion and within that at least one thread to flesh out the forum and prepare it for use by forum participants.

In this module, we cover how the admin creates a discussion.


Summary of Steps to Create a New Discussion:

  1. In design mode on the page you added the forum to, click the New Discussion button.
  2. Give the New Discussion a name – this will show to the forum user on the web page as a clickable link
  3. Give the New Discussion a Description
  4. Click the Save button below the Discussion editor.
  5. Repeat as needed to populate your forum with Discussions
